Prefabrication is a back-bone contributor to a cost-effective successful project.

The pre-construction team verifies which assemblies are required for prefabrication. The information is then filtered to our virtual construction department for assembly drawings and spool production. Assembly drawings are designed utilizing different software’s such as Revit or AutoCAD and then printed for review. Upon approval the prefabrication team begins production.

With our prefabrication team, they are tasked with assembling standardized components which are packaged and shipped to sites for a quick, clean, and accurate installs. Utilizing the prefabrication process to maximize its potential it increases our quality control, labour efficiency and allows us to stay true to our schedules.

After the assemblies are complete, they are packed and shipped in a methodical manner to prevent confusion on site.

Within Virtual Design Construction, CDN. POWER PAC models in our own racks, filters its own clash detection considering the different disciplines optimizing the best route for our installs with labels on each rack and raceway accompanied by a unique ID for prefabrication reference.

Funneling a bill of material list attached with spools and standard detailed drawings of sequential racks with lengths of each rod, cantruss and hardware; the prefabrication teams have all what they need for assembly. Work packages are created containing route and elevation descriptions with abundant viewpoints for easy visual aid reference for the field team within Revit for site installation. This process ensures all our racks are installed effectively in place correctly just once without clashes.

In addition, CDN. POWER PAC utilizes tools supplied by Trimble such as a Total Robotic Station in-conjunction with software’s such as AutoCAD and Revit to help pinpoint and locate specific coordinates for not only inserts and penetrations for sleeves before the slab is poured as well as floor boxes, light fixtures that do not have a pattern and equipment layout.

CDN. POWER PAC is currently utilizing an arsenal of system software’s such as but not limited to Blue Beam, AutoCAD, 3D PDF, Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, Trimble and Revizto to meet you, the clients dream and expectations, project layouts, prefabrication, collaboration, and coordination.

Blue Beam

A PDF program provides us the capability to deliver layouts of all systems for site; create drawings similar to the ones we create within AutoCAD as well as it lets the workers in the field edit such files as the stages of construction progress’.

Real time collaboration with site through the Bluebeam Studio allows us to have greater collaboration and efficiency anytime, anywhere with the most current as-built drawings which are available to all workers.

If a project has an area of a building that is in question, we can send a 3D PDF to individuals which has proven to be very effective in clearing up the area in question by providing visual aids.

We have also found that the ability to add mark-ups to them means RFI’s are clearer and as a result answered faster.


Revit

As time progresses and the industry advances further into the digital age of information exchange more and more projects are utilizing Revit for design and collaboration. As a result, CDN. POWER PAC has kept its tempo. Below is a list of some of the capabilities our Revit department can produce in all levels of detail:

Navisworks Manage

Coordination between all disciplines involved is best achieved by applying the clash detection tool found within Navisworks Manage. System specific tests can be performed which produces a report of any existing clashes allowing the team to foresee the issue prior to construction/installation granting the opportunity for a effective solution to the issue saving time, labour, cost and re-work.

Navisworks may also be used as a collaborative ideal for site to be able to navigate through the building in 3D with all meta data stored being able to see the properties of said element. Areas of interest are quickly and user friendly accessible for a visual aid.


Trimble

A lot of time and effort goes into collaboration and coordination with other trades, so upon finalizing our locations, Execution becomes critical. Productivity and accuracy of installation are greatly increased with the use of one of our Robotic Total Stations. BIM 360

A simplified method to be able to link multiple disciplines by connecting workflows, teams and data to help build better.

In conjunction with Revit, data may be exchanged, coordinated, and managed within a job’s timeline between teams with easy navigation from 2D to 3D environments of the same location within the hyper-linked model. Enabling the projects team to help deliver a more efficient, faster model by mitigating risk, reduce cost, improved scheduling, and sequencing.


Revizto

Like BIM 360, yet different, this software enables CDN. POWER PAC to collaborate effectivity with the multiple disciplines after design with improved visuals and stored meta data enabling the users to dissect elements, areas, and work with or around said element.

Revizto allows the team to manage its software’s model allowing key users to tag select areas to highlight issues and coordinate a solution prior to proposed change notices.
