Cdn. Power Pac was awarded the Design & Pre-Construction Services contract for the expansion and modernization project at Canterbury Court. A new five story resident tower will be built which will increase the capacity, quality of life and operational efficiency of the facility while acting as a “swing space” to accommodate the renovations of the existing spaces. Cdn. Power Pac will be completing the extensive interior electrical modernization to the activity space, dementia care unit, hospice care, skilled nursing unit, suites and office space. The electrical scope includes lighting, fire alarm system and distribution upgrades.
Work within this three-year project will be phased, specifically and most critically in the Court redevelopment which will include multiple occurrences of redevelopment, occupancy, and decanting. To minimize disruptions, Cdn. Power Pac will work evenings, mornings and night shifts as required and will ongoingly schedule and communicate with the staff and residents. Consideration and mindfulness for the residents will be given priority when planning construction workflows.
