PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Cdn. Power Pac was contracted to provide electrical, a fire alarm system, Nurse Call System, voice and data cabling, fiber optics, lab and equipment wiring, grounding, distribution upgrades, lighting and lighting controls on the seventh floor of the Kaye Clinic. The project required extensive work with extremely tight timeframes within occupied areas in close communications and coordination with user groups. We employed over 25 electricians and 25 electrical subtrades at peak and completed the project on time and on budget.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Over the course of five years, Cdn. Power Pac completed 11 of 13 main phase upgrade programs of The Health Research Innovation Facility East (HRIF) and Medical Sciences Building. The large renovation and upgrades comprised of electrical, fire alarm and Nurse Call Systems, voice and data cabling, fire optics, lab and equipment wiring, grounding, distribution upgrades, lighting and lighting controls. The projects employed over 50 electricians and 30 electrical subtrades at the peak for multiple departments and research groups who called the facility home.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The new terminal at Bethel and Broadway is the Capital region’s largest bus terminal and anchors inter-municipal transit service between Strathcona County and Edmonton while serving as a base for local bus service within Sherwood Park. This facility is an integrated bus terminal and Park and Ride facility intended to improve local transit services and provide additional parking capacity. Cdn. Power Pac completed the Recycle and Transit Center Site and parking lots which included the install of the lighting and distribution package, data and fiber optics, security systems, clocks, fire alarms, sound and paging, trenching/voice and all precast pads included for future distribution centers.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The Electrical & Computer Engineering Research Facility (ECERF) re-purposing post-secondary modernization project which includes Levels 2 and 7 and the creation of a new lab. In conjunction with Stuart Olson, Cdn. Power Pac plays an integral role on this large renovation which also encompasses upgrades to the ETLC facility. The project comprises of electrical, fire alarm, power, security systems, voice and data cabling, fibre optics, lab and equipment wiring, grounding, distribution upgrades, and high end lighting and lighting controls.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The new Limelight Building (formerly known as Solar Court) is located along the trendy 124th corridor of Edmonton’s downtown. The building has been completely overhauled and showcases all new electrical and design features making it modern and innovative catering to a wide variety of users with over 25,000 square feet of contiguous building space and 4,000 square feet of trendy split grade retail. The large renovation and upgrades comprised of electrical, lighting and lighting controls throughout the premises, fire alarm, cameras, voice, data, cable television systems and distribution upgrades.

A lot of emphasis went into designing premises lighting in a Green Design which accounted for more than 60% of total premises energy costs and represented the largest single opportunity for savings for the client. Cdn. Power Pac’s main strategies used were as follows:

1. Maximize natural light,
2. Provide directed task light where required,
3. Install efficient fixtures and lamps and
4. Use advanced lighting controls.

PROJECT Edson Healthcare Centre Continuing Care Facility

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

In September 2014 Cdn. Power Pac was awarded the contracted for the complete electrical installation for a new 76 bed continuing care facility in Edson, Alberta. This new building contains all the systems of a complex modern hospital including access controls, CCTV, Nurse Call System, Wander-Guard Systems, Addressable Fiore Alarm System and Hospital Grade power and lighting requirements. EHCC is a large project that employed 4 subcontractors under our scope and averaged 20 to 30 full-time field staff during critical periods. The project completed on schedule and on budget and is a demonstration of Cdn. Power Pac’s capacity to provide labour for a large project.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The NLRHC Surgery Expansion Project will convert existing office and administration spaces at the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre into six new medical and surgical inpatient bedrooms. These new inpatient bedrooms will feature private washrooms, dimmable lights, semi-private and private sleeping areas. A total of ten new inpatient beds will be added to the surgical unit. The project electrical scope will include upgrading and adding to the electrical distribution system with new distribution panels along with providing new energy efficient LED lighting. The existing nurse call system will be upgraded and will enhance the patient experience with bedside lighting controls, nurse communication and entertainment systems.
