Harold Kinsey – Owner, Chairman
Master Electrician with 50+ years of experience in all aspects of the electrical field (industrial, commercial, residential). Harold has estimated, managed, and successfully completed some of Alberta’s largest and most challenging electrical projects.
Rob Kinsey, B.Sc. – CEO
Rob has been actively managing projects for Cdn. Power Pac since 1996. Rob has held the role of Edmonton Construction Association board member, Electrical Contractors Association of Alberta board member and a member of the I.B.E.W. Local Union 424 commercial negotiating committee.  To date, Rob has managed over 300 projects valued from $5,000 to $45 Million across all sectors of the construction industry with a total value of over $100 Million dollars.  Rob’s experience allows him to oversee a multitude of projects in his role as CEO where he ensures that the operating principles of quality and client satisfaction are being employed at every level of the company on every project.
Todd Kinsey – Chief Operating Officer
Todd has been with Cdn. Power Pac since 1996. As the Chief Operating Officer, Todd oversees all service projects and also manages Cdn. Power Pac’s Special Projects Division which includes more in depth service work and design build project. Todd is responsible for Cdn. Power Pac’s infrastructure, tooling and fleet.
Jeff Panchuk, HSA – Health & Safety Manager
Jeff has been with Cdn. Power Pac since 2010.  Jeff has done a complete overhaul of CPP’s Health & Safety Manual and provides CPP’s Site Superintendents and Supervisors all the materials and resources they need to ensure that everyone onsite and in the office gets their tasks done correctly and safely. Along with updating and improving the company’s H&S Manual, Jeff oversees all health and safety issues within the company, schedules employees for D&A testing when required, provides company orientations, performs company and peer safety audits and helps maintain CPP’s vehicle fleet.
Blaine Banyard, CME, PEC – Service Manager
Blaine joined the Cdn. Power Pac Commercial team in 2005 after obtaining his Electrical Journeyman Certification, Masters and a PEC (Professional Electrical Contractor) member. He was promptly promoted to Foreman and when the projects he was assigned were completed, he was welcomed onto the Service team. In 2016, Blaine was promoted to the Service Manager where he is responsible for leading the Service Departments, works with the Operation Manager to set, develop, and implement strategic plans to achieve optimum efficiencies, productivity, and profitability. He oversees the department’s production, administration, staffing and estimating/bidding and possesses superior communication, organizational, management and leadership abilities with a strong customer service focus.
Steve Truong, BComm – Senior Estimator
Steve has a Bachelor degree in International business and a diploma in Architectural CAD Technician, with this he is able to bring experiences in estimating and drafting to CPP. Now, Steve leads the estimating department and is responsible for conceptual estimating, cost analysis and estimate coordination. He also works alongside the project management team to ensure projects remain within budget and schedule for our clients.
Eric Seeger – Estimator, Project Manager
Eric is a certified Journeyman Electrician who has been employed with Cdn. Power Pac since May 2012. Throughout Eric’s career with Cdn. Power Pac, he has advanced his career moving forward as a trusted Apprentice into a dependable Journeyman and now is an integral member of our Estimating and Project Management team. Eric is a contributing member of the Estimating department that understands the scope, risk and construction schedule of each project which allows him to provide accurate and successful take-offs.

Trained in Trimble Construction Bidding Software and Bluebeam Revu, Eric’s skills allow Cdn. Power Pac to work with the latest construction management and modelling software which ensures project scope with defined scheduling and identified efficiencies have been identified for successful project delivery.

Cory Brown – Senior Project Manager
Cory has been with Cdn. Power Pac since 2002. During his years with CPP, Cory has held a variety positions such as Serviceman, Foreman, Purchaser and now Project Manager. His project experience includes institutional schools, tenant improvements, and a wide variety of Design-Build and Design-Assist projects. He has extensive construction and service experience in large office, warehouse and shop renovations. Cory’s expertise and experience in the field makes him one of Power Pac’s most valuable assets.
Nick Slade, BA – Senior Project Manager
Nick started in the electrical industry as an apprentice with CPP in 2004. After completing his apprenticeship with CPP and working as a Journeyman Electrician, he became a Project Manager in 2011. Nick has also pursued academic studies while completing his vocational training, earning his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alberta in 2009. He enjoys bringing this varied experience to his project management duties.At CPP, Nick is responsible for overseeing and monitoring all aspects of a project’s electrical construction. He provides technical and operational guidance to field staff as well as coordinating and confirming project scope, schedule and financials with clients and CPP management.
Rob Gerwing, CME, C.I.M. – Pre-Construction Manager
Rob is a Certified Master Electrician with over 30 years’ experience in commercial, institutional and industrial electrical construction. The commercial projects have been as small as CRU fit-ups to as large as mega mall construction. Institutional work has included, fire halls, hospitals and municipal government buildings to name a few, and the Industrial work has taken him from the gas fields in the South, through the oil sands of Alberta to as far north as the Canadian Arctic. In the early 90’s, he earned a Diploma in Management Studies from Grant MacEwen University, which has since solidified his position in a management role.
Kevin Verhulst, PEC, CME – Project Manager
Kevin has been dedicated to the construction industry for 30 years, contributing to a wide variety of projects and sectors, from Commercial/institutional to Utility. Kevin is a Certified Master Electrician and holds the designation of PEC as administrated by the Electrical Contractors Association of Alberta. Kevin has extensive experience in all aspect of Project life cycles from Estimating, Corporate QA/QC Manager, Construction Management and Project Management. Kevin benefits from his experience in the EPC environment working as Construction Manager representing the consultant on large scale utility projects. Kevin also holds a certificate in Project Management from NAIT.
Nicholas Algar, P.Eng. – Senior Project Manager
Nicholas graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at the University of Alberta in 2005 and earned the Professional Engineering designation in 2009. He started with Cdn. Power Pac as an Estimator in 2005 and has taken on many roles over the years from Design Engineer, Project Manager to Senior Project Manager. With over 15 years’ as a lead Engineer and Senior Project Manager in the Electrical Construction Industry, Nick brings his wealth of experience and technical expertise in commercial, educational and recreational facilities coupled with a wide variety of experience in design-build and design-assist projects. Over the years, he has come to prefer and excel with the collaborative environment team approach and therefore continues to invest in courses such as Project & Risk Management.
Dave Pearson – Senior Project Manager Renewable Energy Systems
As the demand for Renewable Energy Systems grow, Cdn. Power Pac has recently absorbed PV Solar Enterprises Ltd. and welcomes Dave Pearson, Senior Project Manager Renewable Energy Systems to the PAC who will lead the transition towards a greener energy future. Dave became a Journeyman Electrician in 2004 and soon discovered his passion for renewable energy systems/management which paved his career path as a successful building automation Installation business owner. Dave will partner his 17+ years of experience with Cdn. Power Pac to make this a success.
Aileen Chan, PCP – Accounting Manager
Aileen has been with CPP since August of 2005 and working as the Office Manager. Aileen graduated from NAIT with a business accounting diploma and a Payroll Certified Practitioner designation and started working for CPP right after she graduated. Aileen started as a Receptionist/Accounting Technician and was promoted to the Office Manager role, where she manages all of the accounts payable, receivables and payroll.
Connie Truong – Project Coordinator & Receptionist
Connie started her career with Cdn. Power Pac as a Receptionist in 2009. She has added to her responsibilities over the years and now works as a Project Coordinator and assists the Accounting Department while still acting as our Receptionist. She is an integral part of the Project Management team assisting with the setup of awarded projects, maintaining project files with drawings, specifications and issuing vendor purchase orders for project execution.
Alicia Hay – ACSO/Director of Corporate Development & Communications
Prior to joining Cdn. Power Pac, Alicia held a most unique position as Western Canada’s Operations Administration Manager for Canada’s largest HVAC/Refrigeration company. In this position she was responsible for standardizing process and procedures, centralizing operations, implementing and deploying a mobile service platform while driving overall profits.As our Director of Corporate Development & Communications, Alicia brings over 16 years’ experience in Finance, Operations, Customer Service, Human Resources and Marketing. Alicia has been appointed as the Document Management Coordinator on Cdn. Power Pac largest project to oversee communications and documents flow while working alongside the team on our internal processes and systems and acts as proxy to Elsie Kinsey on the condo board. She is an energetic problem solver who will lend her plethora of experience to our organization.
Brian Strain – Warehouse Manager
Brian has been with Cdn. Power Pac since 2007 and takes care of all warehouse processes including shipping and/or delivering material to site, receiving inventory for projects, maintaining CPP’s equipment and lifts, and maintaining the fleet service.  Brian has been in the Electrical field for most of his career and enjoys it very much.
Tom Graham – Northern Regional Construction Manager
For almost a decade, Tom Graham has been a prominent member of the Cdn. Power Pac’s field team. Tom started as a journeyman electrician and has worked his way up to becoming the Northern Regional Construction Manager (outside Edmonton & Area). Tom has been an electrical journeyman since 1992, specializing in large industrial and commercial projects. He has held the role of Team Lead, Foreman, General Foreman, Site Superintendent and Regional Manager.In an important lead role, Tom has run single projects in excess of five million dollars, and multiple projects running concurrently with a value of over ten million dollars. Tom’s specialty lies in planning and executing large scale projects on either and industrial or commercial focus.
Dave Todyruik – Site Superintendent
Dave has been a part of the CPP family since 2001. In his years with Cdn. Power Pac he has held the positions of serviceman, and foreman. Dave is a incredible asset to have in the field with his attention to detail, amazing organizational skills and gregarious customer service. Dave has been an excellent representation of CPP at the University of Alberta where he looks after all ongoing projects there.
Tony Wade – Site Superintendent
Tony is a journeyman electrician with fifteen years of Commercial Project experience, and has been with CPP since 2008. Tony is a blue eyed Pisces who enjoys long walks on the beach and candle lit baths while entranced in a Nicholas Sparks novel.
Mike Applin – Site Superintendent (Out of Town Commercial)
Mike started his electrical career with Cdn. Power Pac when he was just a first year apprentice in 2004. Mike has 11 years of commercial electrical experience, 4 years of commercial work on industrial sites and a year of straight industrial experience. Mike has been a foreman for a variety of projects with CDN Power Pac; Staples in Fort McMurray, Leduc Walmart, Keephills Smoke Stack, Scotford Fire Hall, Radient Technologies, Fort McMurray Mammoet, Surmont MPB & FIC Buildings and Edson Continuing Care Centre just to name a few major projects. Mike is currently engaged in our largest project to date on the TransEd LRT Valley Line Design Build project and proving that Newfoundland labour and hard work is “highly under rated”!

Chris Krieger – Site Superintendent
Chris started his apprenticeship with Cdn. Power Pac in 2004, working his way up to becoming one of CPP’s commercial Electrical Foremen. Under a previous foreman he learned and persevered what was taught to him to become where he is today. At a very young age Chris has ran many projects, multiple at times from small restaurants to full office renovations. Projects of accomplishments include; Derrick Dodge Renovations, U of A IMRI Surgical Room, MAHI IMRI, ATB, Misericordia Flood Restoration, U of A Hospital Renovation, Wolfe Cadillac and Dentons Canada LLP at Stantec Tower. Chris is currently engaged in our largest project to date on the TransEd LRT Valley Line Design Build project.

Chris is a devoted employee who gives whatever it takes to complete a project on schedule and under budget. Cdn. Power Pac’s clients have nothing but respect and good words for the professionalism and knowledge that he offers on a project.

Garry Erfle – Site Superintendent
Gary started with Cdn. Power Pac in 2014, and is a welcomed new addition in the field management process. Prior to Power Pac, Gary’s years of electrical experience including working on large scale projects such as hotels, hospitals, and clinics. Gary also has engineering experience while performing electrical commissioning with some of the biggest leaders in electrical engineering. Some of Gary’s past projects that he has maintained are; Ross Shephard High School, Londonderry Mall, Royal Alexandra Hospital, Misericordia Hospital, University of Alberta Hospital, Kaye Clinic, and the Matrix Hotel. Gary is currently engaged in the new build of Divine Mercy Catholic Elementary School in Edmonton’s newest Southeast community; the Orchards.   With Gary’s skill set and knowledge he is a definite asset to Cdn. Power Pac.
Carson McMurray – Site Superintendent
Carson McMurray is a certified Journeyman Electrician and has been an employee with Cdn. Power Pac since 2010. Carson has overseen a number of successful commercial and institutional projects; recently engaged in our largest project to date on the TransEd LRT Valley Line Design Build project. He is capable of executing large projects and takes an active role in the planning and coordination of projects with our project management and the client. Carson understands that projects require a high level of communication and trust between project participant and therefore, his excellence in these areas are shown in his list of successfully completed projects.
